Formlabs TPM Wash Solvent 5L

Formlabs generally recommends the use of isopropyl alcohol (IPA) with aconcentration of 90% or higher to clean and dissolve uncured resin fromstereolithography (SLA) 3D printed parts. If you cannot use IPA, tripropyleneglycol monomethyl ether (TPM) is a tested alternative for parts printed withnon-biocompatible Formlabs resins. FEATURESNON-FLAMMABLETPM is a non-flammable liquid* solventthat can be readily acquired and storedin accordance with your organization’shealth and safety regulations.LOW ODORTPM has a mild odor, making it suitablefor workplaces where employees aresensitive to the smell of IPA.LOW EVAPORATIONTPM evaporates slowly at roomtemperature. If you experience asignificant amount of IPA evaporationbetween prints, TPM may offer amore economical finishing solution WASHES MORE PARTSAs your wash solvent dissolves liquidresin, the concentration of resin in thesolvent increases. TPM continues toclean printed parts effectively at higherresin concentrations, washing up to threetimes as many parts as IPA before thesolvent needs to be replaced. The TPM finishing workflow is similar to theworkflow with IPA.• TPM is compatible with the Formlabs FinishKit, Form Wash, and Form Cure.• Unlike IPA, parts cleaned with TPM will notair dry, as TPM evaporates very slowly. Toremove TPM from your parts, rinse them inclean water.TPM may leave a waxy surface texture onsome resins. Post-curing eliminates this.• TPM is not yet certified for use with Formlabsbiocompatible resins.* This product is not labeled as dangerous according toRegulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
